Oh, those wacky celebrities and their feuds.
Earlier this week, when Oscar-Winning actress Faye Dunaway was asked what she thought about Disney starlet and “actress” Hilary Duff starring as Bonnie in an update/adaptation/remake of Bonnie and Clyde (for which Dunaway was nominated for an Oscar), Dunaway made no attempt to hide her feelings: “Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”
Hilary Duff, always the ambassador of class, fired right back: “I think that my fans that are gonna go see the movie don’t even know who she is…. I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too.”
How fun!
On one hand, maybe Faye Dunaway shouldn’t have said anything. After all, Hilary Duff did star in both Material Girls and The Perfect Man. And all those Teen Choice Awards do speak volumes, after all.
But on the other hand, perhaps Hilary Duff isn’t best suited to play one of the most notorious outlaws ever to roam the earth, unless it’s Bonnie and Clyde: The Musical. But wouldn’t Ashley Tisdale be the best fit? Hm.
Either way, let’s break down Hilary’s comments.
“I think that my fans that are gonna go see the movie don’t even know who she is….”
-Right, because they are all 16. And probably stupid.
“I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too.”
Looked like what? A 68-year-old? I hate you break it you Hilary, but you’re not going to be 21 forever.
