As we wrote earlier, Clint Eastwood does not care for the younger generations. And who could blame him? They are spoiled, they’re lazy, they don’t take responsibility for anything, and they smell.
Or, as Clint put it: They’re pussies.
Well, good ol’ Clint is at it again, but this time, he is attacking the politically correct landscape that our country now seems to have whole heartedly embraced.

Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood laments the loss of old-fashioned humor in today’s society – insisting he should be able to tell harmless jokes about nationality without fear of people branding him a “racist”.
The Dirty Harry star, 79, is adamant that modern culture has become humorless, and accuses younger generations of spending too much time trying to avoid being offensive.
He says, “People have lost their sense of humor. In former times we constantly made jokes about different races. You can only tell them today with one hand over your mouth or you will be insulted as a racist.
“I find that ridiculous. In those earlier days every friendly clique had a ‘Sam the Jew’ or ‘Jose the Mexican’ – but we didn’t think anything of it or have a racist thought. It was just normal that we made jokes based on our nationality or ethnicity. That was never a problem. I don’t want to be politically correct. We’re all spending too much time and energy trying to be politically correct about everything.”
Well, it seems that Clint is a bit angry at things. Maybe he is from an older generation who thinks that you shouldn’t walk through life on eggshells, or that you shouldn’t avoid living because you don’t want to offend anyone else.
Personally, I dig on what he said. We are way too politically correct in this country, and that’s not a good thing. While some folks do take things too far in terms of hateful comments, I think there is a definite line, and people are becoming less and less willing to even walk towards the line, much less cross it in the sake of good humor.
We here at The Angry Rant are of the school of thought that everyone, regardless of creed, sexual orientation, skin color, age, or shoe size, is not above being the butt of a joke if the situation calls for it. Does that mean we condone those who are openly hateful just because? No, of course not. In fact, we stand against that sort of behavior.
But, we are changing into a society that is so afraid to piss anyone off, that we can’t even allow ourselves to breathe anymore.
We are always stumping for equal rights in this great country (which TAR wholeheartedly supports), but doesn’t equal rights mean that everyone falls under the same umbrella when it comes to harmless candor? We’d like to think so.
But, if the current state of things is any indication, then we are soon going to find ourselves being unable to tell a harmless “Knock Knock” joke, lest we should offend the Local 343 Brotherhood of Door Makers.
So maybe Clint has a point.
Personally, we just can’t wait until he is given his Lifetime Achievement Medal of Most Ass-Kicking Octogenarian.
